Just downloaded PL9 and installed it without any problems. This was on Windows.

Out of curiosity, have you tried rebooting your computer and running the setup again?
Sometimes (but certainly not always) that is all the “magic” needed to fix problems like this.

Hi. I had exactly the same problem and despite involvement from Support, the problem persists. I would be interested to know if you managed to solve the issue.
May try disable (temporary) firewall / antivirus?
Also, may its can be some certification issue? Eg. DxO cant use their own certification(s) (for SSL?) - it was like a month or more with some Mac in the forum?
I experienced the exact the same problem since PL8.8 after DXO seperated AI denoise modules from its main installation package. The problem still existed on PL9.X. After trying many times, I managed to solved the problem with a simple method: when seeing the error message popped up, don’t press the “cancel” bottton, but the “retry”. It may not get throught at one time so don’t give up, just just press the “retry” button for several times( normally 3-5 times) until the software continues to proceed. The error message may occur again when the main installation download the different AI modules. Don’t worry, just use the same method to press the “retry” botton for more times. Enventually the installation will finish. I suspect the issue is due to DXO local server response. Anyway I am happy to install PL9.1 with success.
