So I have this weird issue.
I’m running DXO Photolab 9 on my gaming desktop with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU, Nvidia GTX 4070 and 64GB RAM. I’m running powerful 3D tools on it like Blender, Maya, Substance Painter, Unity 6 Engine, etc. and all without issues. Games it runs without issues.
But for some reason, DXO Photolab 9’s AI masking won’t run. It’ll say: AI cannot detect your selection. And then all attempts to use AI mask afterwards give an error along the lines of “Internal error, correction failed at executable”.
The funny thing is that my far worse yet capable ASUS Zenbook 14 with an AMD Ryzen AI 7 CPU, 32GB RAM and an integrated AMD Radeon 860M is able to run the AI mask without issue.
Do we need an AI CPU in order to run DXO Photolab 9 now? I thought we needed a GTX gpu. I’m confused.
Other than that, when the AI masking does work (on my zenbook 14) it is fantastic and great for my workflow. The results of all new features are fantastic.
Edit: Drivers are up to date, tried enabling openCL and other settings in Nvidia Panel but nothing seems to fix it.
