PhotoLab 8 Mac: Memory and Performance

I’ve used PL6 for a few years now on a MacBook Pro M1 with 16/512, and I never had any performance or resource issues. In particular, with Activity Monitor open, the “Memory Pressure” always appears green.

But with the update to Version 8, memory pressure is often yellow. And exports with the most noise reduction take quite a bit longer.

What have other Mac users observed with PL 8 update? Here are screenshots showing the memory usage differences between PL6 and PL8. I first used PL8 on a folder of RAW folders, took the screenshot, then launched PL6 on the same folder of images, made similar edits, and viewed the results using Apple Preview. It appears that PL8 uses substantially more memory, so I’m curious to learn what other users are seeing.

I went from photolab 5 to 8 it does take longer to process Raw images but that’s because DXO 8 has new Deep Prime noise reduction (xd) which I guess is more processor intensive
Im using an M1 MacBook Pro with 32 gb ram

Yes, I definitely get that exports with maximum NR will take longer. It’s the rest I’m curious about.
