Hello I’m new to this software, I was checking to see if it’s possible to use Orientation and have the words on the props in the picture flip the right way.
Hi, Mark. It’s possible, but you will need PhotoLab 6, 7, or 8 with an additional license for ViewPoint 4 (or PhotoLab 8 with ViewPoint 5). Then the Orientation options will be active.
If you don’t have or want ViewPoint, then another option is to edit the photo as it is, then export it to TIFF or JPEG and use another program (e.g., IrfanView) to flip the image and save it again.
Hello Egregius, thanks for the update, I do have the PhotoLab 8, and its not letting me select the orientation option to flip. I’m not sure how to use it. Here’s a screenshot of what I’m seeing.
It says it’s part of Viewpoint.

I’m not sure what that means George, the Viewpoint is not clickable
It means that you need Viewpoint for that service.
Maybe download a trial and see what happens.

ViewPoint is integrated into PhotoLab, but you need to purchase a licence to activate it. Having made the purchase, you will receive a serial number, which you need to enter into the activation dialog in PhotoLab. Then you will be able to use the extra features.
You can also download the standalone version, but this is more for folks who use other software and isn’t at all necessary to use VP from within PL.
In the Help menu in PhotoLab, you will find options for activating DxO ViewPoint, including starting a 30-day trial if you haven’t already done that before.
