Ongoing Issue – PhotoLab Losing Connection to Nik Collection (Since PL6)

I’m reaching out in the hope that someone from the DxO team—or the wider user community—can help clarify what’s going wrong here.

Since PhotoLab 6, I’ve experienced a persistent issue where PhotoLab intermittently loses its connection to Nik Collection. I’m now on PhotoLab 8 and Nik Collection 7, both fully updated. Despite multiple reinstalls and all standard troubleshooting steps, the issue continues across multiple version upgrades.

Here’s my system setup for reference:

  • Windows 11 Pro
  • AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
  • 64GB RAM
  • MSI Radeon RX 6750 XT with 12GB VRAM
  • High-performance custom PC build

This is more than just a minor bug—it’s actively disrupting my workflow. I first raised this with support back in October, but despite assurances that upgrading to the latest versions would resolve it, the problem remains. It feels like it needs escalation to third-line technical support at this point.

Is anyone else encountering this? And has anyone found a solid fix?

Any help—especially from the DxO team—would be greatly appreciated.

What are you running for security software? (Antivirus, anti-malware, registry cleaners, etc.) This is not a problem I have ever had, and I run Win 11 Pro with Ryzen like you.
