Gear: Nikon D90 (APS-C, 12 mpx), Nikkor 18-200/DX popular zoom. Software can really make a difference, especially for a poor lens.

It is remarkable that old districts in India can withstand modernization much longer than in China. There, old urban areas are often flattened. During my last visit, an Indian acquaintance told me that, contrary to the European view, these electrical constructions can last quite a long time - he estimated 30 years. When I look at the past in my neighborhood, roads and sidewalks have been torn up and closed again several dozen times in the same period of time. Every principle has its advantage :slight_smile:

Well, “if it works, why fix it”. China may be on the other extreme currently, but “the times – they are changing”. My personal experience: for whatever you say about India, you may find a counterexample. No simple answers. But the British influence on India is still clear from these photos, with all its goods and bads, and slowly dying away.

Personally, I like the second photo for its universality.
