As a user, I want to add an offset to the automatic value generated by the Center-Weighted-Average option given in aperture stops. This will give benefit in the usage of presets for certain looks, that need a plus 1 stop of exposure. When it is used, the operation of the slider would not change back to manual. It would stay at the automatic value with the chosen exposure compensation applied in addition. This would mimic the behavior of the real camera. Additional weighting options like spot or focus point would also be welcome.

You can achieve something similar to that via Smart Lighting - with the “Spot Weighted” option activated … then you can draw a rectangle over the area you wish to sample, and PL will adjust exposure accordingly.
