First, the picker in the center of the screen is greyed out and when I am able to select one of the colored circles, I started with the white one as I want to tone down highlights, adjustments affect the entire image globally. I need careful instruction on how to use the HSL tool in PL8. The User Manual is not a help but only to point out what is what but not the how to use. Either a good complete YouTube tutorial I have not found on this yet. Can someone who is expert in the use of this tool help me get started and on the right track to learning to become proficient? Hi,
The white dot means global channel and not highlights. The global channel affects all colors, therefore the picker is greyed out.
The remaining 8 channels can be adjusted using the wheel’s 4 dots/handles. Inner handles define the hue range, outer ones control the transition. The lonely pin on the external circle, shifts the hue of the selected range.
