AI Mask

  • AI Masks introduce an intelligent assistant for instant, accurate selections. Point to the desired object or select an area with your mouse, and the model will calculate a new mask based on the image context.

Depth Mask (AI)

  • Depth Masks are a new type of Local Adjustment that provides selective control over the desired focus range. Powered by AI, they work on images even when no depth information is available.

Color Grading in Nik Color Efex

  • Color Grading enables more nuanced creative control over mood, style, and tone. You can quickly adjust color tints across three tonal ranges (Shadows, Midtones, Highlights) and combine them with overall image colorization (Global).

Halation in Nik Color Efex

  • Halation adds a soft, glowing bloom around bright areas, giving images a cinematic, film-inspired warmth and atmosphere.

Chromatic Shift in Nik Analog Efex

  • Chromatic Shift recreates the look of vintage misaligned color layers, subtle ink shifts, and halftone imperfections characteristic of the golden age of print.

Glass Effect in Nik Analog Efex

  • Glass Effect applies a customizable glass texture to your image, allowing you to define the region affected by the effect.

Blending Modes

  • Blending Modes make it possible to combine filters using different blend types, offering more flexibility and creative control beyond opacity adjustments.

Mask Overlay

  • The Mask Overlay feature provides a real-time visual representation of your adjustments. This immediate feedback improves precision and helps you refine and adjust masks with confidence.

New Add Local Adjustments Button

  • The Local Adjustments panel has been replaced with a single Add Local Adjustments button that displays the relevant options with shortcuts and clearly distinguishes filters with and without Local Adjustments.

Show Presets and Filter Looks on Hover

  • You can now preview any preset, last edit, or filter look without applying it. Hover over a thumbnail to see the result directly in the preview area.

Copy and Paste Local Adjustments Improvements

  • You can now easily copy and paste Local Adjustments between filters. All available Local Adjustments are listed in the Import Masks panel. Standard copy-and-paste shortcuts are supported, and a new context menu (right-click) in the Local Adjustments section displays available options and their shortcuts.

Mini Presets in the Right Panel in Nik Color Efex

  • Mini presets are now available in the right panel, allowing you to quickly preview and apply any filter look.

Refined Filter Header

  • The filter header has been redesigned. The enable/disable state is now indicated by a prominent switch. Reorder, Reset, and Remove filter controls have been restyled for clarity. The Collapse/Expand and Show Mask buttons have been removed.

Preview Quality Mode

  • A new Preview Quality Mode lets you choose the preview quality, so you can work with corrections without blurriness when adjusting sliders or changing dropdown values.
