Nik Collection 8 - Impossible to activate

Hi !

I just bought NC8 two days ago. Installation went through properly. But when I launch one on the apps, I have the following message “The activation process failed because of an unknown server error”.

  1. I read the few posts here about the same issue, but no real solution
  2. I tried to clean everything with Nik CleanUp tool and then reinstall but same problem
  3. I tried to uninstall my VPN and antivirus but again same problem
  4. I sent a message to DXO Support but still waiting for an answer.

I am under Windows 11.

Can anybody help please ?

The universe answered to my previous post as I found how to do it.

On windows 11, you have to go to an hidden location here :
C:\Users\Windows\AppData\Local\DxO\Licenses

There was an hidden file named nikcolletion8.key which was probably corrupted. So I deleted it and bam the activation process worked again.
