Nik Collection 7 Presets

Sometimes, when I send a photograph from Lightroom to Nik Silver Efex the photograph opens but the Presets are shown in two columns and therefore the Preset title is not visible.
This does not happen every time which makes me think there might be a bug or something else.

Hello and welcome to this user forum,

the portrait formats are presented side by side.
Hover over the title …

hope that helps

Wolfgang, thank you for this advice.
I will try this next time it happens, but I am still surprised that it only happens occasionally.
I have just opened a new image in Silver Efex and all the Presets were in one column.
Thank you again.

I’ve observed that if the image being processed in Silver Efex is in landscape orientation, for example 3x2 (3 wide, 2 high), then a single column of presets is displayed, with their names fully readable. However, if the image is in portrait orientation (2x3) then two columns of presets are displayed, which results in their names being truncated / not visible. I assume this holds for the other Nik Collection applications that offer presets, but I’ve only tested it with Silver Efex.

Paul, I have never made this connection, but I will consider this next time I use the Nik plug-in.
Thank you for your reply.
