I think I may be getting the Develop & Photo Persona mixed up! Raw files open in Develop Persona & are then sent to the Photo Persona. Sorry for any confusion caused, I am still finding my way round Affinity Photo 2.

Correct but you can go back to the Develop Persona from the Photo Persona. Doing that though makes no sense unless you have selected RAW Layer as the output option (aka non-destructive RAW editing) in the Develop Persona. Even then you have to be careful as changing some things in RAW can interfere with existing edits in the Photo Persona layer stack.
