It happens every time I open it from FastStone with a pic to edit.
I have no idea how to remove it, or what to change somewhere in settings.
User manual have no “ICC” mention if not >for saving<

Can you check with the latest PL version? → see…
Then – are you editing, exporting / saving in FastStone Image Viewer or do you use it to check and cull pictures to then open them with PL?
I specified in the title “STARTING”.
ASAP DXO open a pic for the first time in that session the mesage appears.
After clicking ok, you can open any pic without any error.
( It happens only starting - DXO PL8.6 )
NOTE:
*NO SAVING OR OTHER THINGS
Please remove or hide your serial number from the screenshot, otherwise someone can steal one or more of your licences
Trouble being: What is meant by “device”?
Until we know, I’d try to find out, if Windows, PhotoLab or FastStone are set to use or transmit a profile that PhotoLab can’t handle.
Check your color management settings … e.g. reset to “default” or whatever it’s called.
I’m still using Windows 10, but don’t think much has changed in that regard.
@AlainCh2 Please take @Joanna’s advice and using whatever you have blank out the serial number or use this image to replace the one in your post
I also use FSIV and launch PL8.6 from there and no such problem exists in my case, i.e.
The ‘Preferences’ RAW default is “1 - DxO Style - Natural” right now.
The camera is a Panasonic G9 with a 12-200 (24-400) Olympus lens
PS:- If you include the image I can try to reproduce the problem on my system with your image (and DOP if one was present in your original attemot which got the problem)
Yes, it is probably already too late and our friend will see his number of activation already limited.
OUCH !!!
Didn’t saw the licence number !!!
Deleted it
Franky is right, it’s probably too late. It has been compromised for a long time anyway. I think you should get in touch with DxO and ask them to disable your previous license key and give you a new one.
Thank everybody.
Sorry Guys, yesterday I passed in ER.
Probably a brain inflammation, a bad moment for my health.
Probably one of the reasons I didn’t see the licence number and also have big equilibrium problems
Making it short: the last PC installation I’ve done was in 2021.
An Nvidia GPU… in the previous PC …the one that crashed 3 weeks ago.
This new PC has an AMD GPU, and it does not use the NVIDIA control panel.
I missed the now-hidden Windows ICC profile.
Only today, returning from the hospital, it passed through my head that strange … “AGFA” thing
And I checked, YESSSSSS !!!
… it’s still there, no changes done in this new install.
So … for anybody looking at this thread
Back to the old way in W10
ControlPanel>ColorManagement> Adanced TAB >
default is: “AGFA : Swop Standard”
…and has to be changed !!
suggested sRGB IEC61966-21
Now I can also manage a better setting on the monitor itself because I’ve deleted the previous one, trying these last day
( with a damaged brain )
