I’ve just downloaded the latest update to PL7, v7.12.0 but it won’t install. It gives an error:
It’s not an error that can be worked around either because although my CPU does have SSE4.1, it does not have AVX2, it only has AVX.
Unless I can find a setting to enable AVX2 in the BIOS, which I doubt given the age of this machine, the only fix is for me to purchase a more modern PC. I do plan to make such a purchase, but not until late summer, i.e. not long before Windows 10 reaches end of life.
Until I do, my adventures with PL are limited to PL7.11.1.
