Nope, AI won’t eliminate editing.

Part of the fun of photography is seeing different possibilities in the image and working with your vision to create it.

I sincerely hope that’s the case.

AI is a threat to basic photo editors - that is those that cater to people who aren’t even interested in editing their shots themselves and just want “a product” at the end.

I guess that is to say… you’re a wedding photographer looking to maximise the number of shoots you do, and as long as the customer is happy with the shots you deliver, you don’t really care if it signifies your “style” or not. You’re content to essentially slap an Instagram filter on it all and call it a day.

For those of us who approach photography as an artistic process; like hell am I letting AI editing my shots for me entirely. It can help with masking, object removal, approximating correct exposure and white balance etc… but how I apply these things is my call.
