I’ve just noticed if I create a mask and then rotate the image the mask doesn’t rotate with the image, is this normal ?
All other software I use the mask created will rotate with the image.
I know I just have to remember to rotate the image first but surely the mask should be related to the rotation of the iamge.
This has been a log term issue which has been on the backlog for years. To avoid this issue all settings that affect geometry, including applying distortion settings from an optics module, should be applied prior to adding any masks.

Yes I know to do any geometric changes before creating masks now.
It’s a shame PL has a few annoying little quirks that stop it from being a top class App.
If hang around here long enough you’ll find you have to take the good with the bad or else you’ll drive yourself crazy.

You get the same problem with the repair/clone tool. I discovered it after a long session repairing an old photo, then straightening it. All the repairs moved.
Heheheh. If I can be pedantic, actually the repairs stay where they are in relation to the zero/zero coordinate - it’s the image that moves
Joanna, you’re correct; my bad.
However, I’m surprised this problem hasn’t been addressed. Evidently, the repair and image are on different layers. Wouldn’t a Photoshop-like “merge the layers” command solve the problem?
The problem I find is it sounds like a few of these glitches have been highlighted in the past and DxO hasn’t resolved them.
I know fixing these problems probably won’t help sell PL like new features might but all these small glitches can add up and impact your workflow, that doesn’t make PL a user friendly App.
New features might entice new customers but not fixing known glitches/problems might stop existing customers from staying loyal.
