I’ve been a user of DXO since version 4 and upgraded continually to the latest version 8.
More recently I’ve been shooting a mix of photos and video with my Panasonic Lumix S5iiX.
I’ve observed comparing images between photos opened directly in DXO PhotoLab 8, Apple Raw (via Photomator) and Adobe Lightroom that both Apple Raw apps and Lightroom render images more accurately without a big magenta/red shift.
This is not evident in other raw developers and is particularly bad when I load an image with the DXO standard or Portrait presets which use DXO’s own color profiles. In fact people look glow in the dark red doing this!
I also bought FilmPack so that I can use the additional camera matching color profiles in DXO 8. The body profile for the S5IIx is a little bit better but still evidences a really bad red shit to its images.
Is there a mechanism to privately upload sample files and default rendering from each camera to the engineers to investigate?
The ticketing system will assign a ticket number that you’ll then use on the upload page that accepts bigger files for uploading. The ticket number that you just got “marries” your upload to your ticket.
If you want feedback from other PhotoLab users, stick to this site.
As a new user, you can add images as a link to a share like Google Drive or a sharing service like wetransfer.com.
Please note that this forum is for users and that DxO might read the posts but will most probably not respond.
One of the problems is that these two presets are nowhere near neutral. Use the Optical Corrections only preset or, even No Corrections, if you are comparing with other software.
