Long term Nik user, but so many problems with NIk4?

So, been using Nik for decades and this week bought the new version. Right off the bat, Silver fx and Viv won’t even load saying I don’t have enough memory… I’m running CS6 on:

AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT Six Core CPU (4.5GHz/35MB CACHE/AM4)
32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3200MHz (2 x 16GB)
8GB AMD RADEON™ RX 5700 XT - HDMI, DP - DX® 12

SO I’d say yes, I have more than enough memory - and this was on a 300k jpg.

Then when something does work, pressing Apply doesn’t do anything. I have to rechoose the filter from the “recently used” list of the plugins.

ANd random crashes. All the time. Takes out Photoshop and all.

This is pretty bad in my opinion. NIk2016 works like a dream.

Very dissapointed.

Apparently, it’s a known problem - and DxO are working on a solution. See here.

I have noticed that if I launch a plugin from the selector bar, the “apply” does work. Yes, thats good - but it shouldn’t be the only way it works.

Yay, new version.

Boo, silver FX and Viv still don’t work.

hurrah 4.1!
Oh look,

Silver and Viv STILL DONT LOAD.
