Local adjustments sub-palette : quick access to local adjustments tool

In the local adjustments sub-palette, user can see at a glance a list of adjustment masks.

From the sub-palette, a quick way to visualize each mask, and to enter mask editing and equalizer control would be welcome. For example:

  • clicking on the mask should enter into mask edition mode, without the need to click on the Local Adjustments button in the upper toolbar.
  • clicking on the mask should also select the mask, such that the keyboard shortcuts E and M could be effective right away, without the need to move the mouse pointer to the mask main control.

I agree.
You can’t edit efficiently in Photolab 8 (MacOs) with keyboard shortcuts because of this.
While a keyboard shortcut opens a tool, it doesn’t open the full options (or palette) for that tool. So you still have to click through to them with your mouse.
e.g. “L” opens local adjustments (but not the local adjustments palette). “Shift c” opens a control point, but not options for its adjustment mask options (what happened to the “equaliser” on MacOS?).

Keyboard shortcuts in Lightroom & C1 have this (similar) functionality, and it makes for much quicker editing.

My understanding is that this feature request, as stated in the top post, has been implemented in PhotoLab 8. Clicking on a mask enables Local Adjustment editing and selects the Mask. And you can mouse over each mask to see it in the image viewer.

There is no “equalizer” in PL8 or PL7. All local adjustments were moved to palettes. Likewise, keyboard shortcuts work differently.
