Local Adjustments display bug

When I disable an re-enable the display of the color mask and the corrections applied to the active mask (with the crossed-out eye or the button with the eye) I get sometimes a wrong color display.
Here is the image with applied mask and corrections:

After disable and enable a mask the image look like this:

When I change any correction, the display will change to the correct colors again.
It doesn’t always happen. There must be several masks involved.

It appears for me on a Windows 11 system, 32GB RAM, PL 8.1, Build 434

What you see is the result of DxO’s very unfortunate decision to display the mask unless a correction is made to that mask - and we’ve been calling for this bad behavior to change for some time.

No, it is not the mask I see (the mask is completely different). And all the mask have some corrections.

It’s a glitch in the image viewer. They happen sometimes and it’s good when they go away without having to restart PhotoLab. I suggest making sure your display drivers and other drivers for your computer hardware are up-to-date. If the problem continues, report a bug at support.dxo.com.

I think it is rather an error in the calculation and the representation of the local adjustments.
After some time of editing, I notice how the image changes imperceptibly. If you go back to the same settings after a few changes, I don’t always get the same image.

Is it possible that you applied a Geometry adjustment after making LA corrections ?

  • If so then it’s possible that the LA was nudged off-target as a result.

Hm, yes, this could be.
Thanks for the hint.
But a test without Geometry corrections shows the same problem
