Local adjust denoising (like PureRaw 5) in Photolab?

Looking through reviews I noticed a PureRAW feature that let’s you put different strengths of denoising to parts of an image through local adjustments.

Now I am Photolab elite user, and it was my understanding that it can do anything PureRAW does. But it seems this is something I cannot do in Photolab?

It seems to me a super useful feature that really should be in Photolab as well. Being a PL user I am certainly not inclined to also buy PureRAW only for access to that feature.

Am I missing something? Is this PR feature coming to PL as well?

Locally-adjusted denoising is brand new in PureRAW 5, released on April 15. That feature hasn’t made it over to PhotoLab 8 yet, and so far DxO hasn’t announced their intentions about that. I think we can expect it to eventually be added to PhotoLab - perhaps in PhotoLab 9. This isn’t the first time PureRAW received an enhancement that was later added to PhotoLab, or vice-versa.

I’m grateful DxO has added DeepPRIME 3 and DeepPRIME XD3 to PL8.5, but am concerned by reports in this forum that these tools might be working differently in PhotoLab than they are in PureRAW 5. What is clear is that DeepPRIME XD2(s) is working differently in PR5 than it was in PR4, and I don’t believe the same change happened in PL8.5 vs. PL8.3. So no, PL can’t be expected to do anything that PR can.

Note, also, that Control Points in the current Nik Collection (released before PhotoLab 8) are more advanced than what we have in PhotoLab 8.
