Leica d-lux support

I note that Leica d-lux do not seem to be a prioritized camera by DXO.
Sad to see …
I left Adobe some 3 years ago, after working with it since 1991.
Now I will return. I find it a shame that a camera from Leica - and with lens and body so very close to Panasonic lx -series, can’t be supported. The d-lux has been in my hands since July 5.
DXO costs for updates - so paying monthly for Adobe will not make any big difference.

Hi and welcome,

as this is a user forum only, please report here Suggestion de boîtier / module - DxO

If you are referring to the Leica D-Lux 8, DXO will add support for that body in October. The attached image is from their camera and lens support database. It would be a shame if you don’t log back into this forum and see my response since I believe you would be quite happy with PhotoLab once your camera is supported.

Yes, i have read this since july, when it said 2024-9 What 2024-10 means remains to be seen.
And, yes, i could go to suggestions.
But somehow i still find it weak that there still (mid ocrober) is no support for a camera from Leica.
And technically the camera is very close to the Panasonic lx -series, so to fix support doesnt seem like an enormous issu to my limited view.
I have changed the EXIF info, which sometimes introduce some pixel corruption in the first few columns. But then the files open nicely in dxo.
So, this is just about a frustation - which i sense is not uncommon among dxo users.

Similar is irrelevant. The profiles are created only after they acquire a loaner copy of the actual body. Sometimes loaner copies are hard to come by and there is often a waiting list for them.

So; finally i got the update. And it is a very good job done with it.
I have run some tests of critical areas; highlight and shadows mostly, because that is where many raw developer have trouble. But also in general areas of pictures.
One characteristic, for instance, is how a burnt out area smootly turns into fine substance. Ie, a burnt out cloud going into whitest shades.

  • So: Very fine !
