Laptop ~ buying refurbished but specs very limited?

You can buy laptops with monitor panels capable of displaying the complete Adobe RGB gamut. As you’d expect though, such devices are not cheap.

You can also get laptops with monitor panels capable of displaying the complete sRGB gamut. As you’d expect though, such devices are not cheap but at least they’re not as expensive as Adobe RGB compliant ones. I have such a machine.

So, yes, laptops can deliver accurate colours.

However, the vast majority of laptops don’t get close to 100% sRGB coverage. So colour accuracy on most laptops is less than ideal.

I had a very similar requirement, unfortunately the clearance laptop I bought recently is no longer available but might be worth looking out for further clearance laptops from Lenovo or HP.

The very powerful brand new laptop I bought for £799:

AM 32GB
Storage 1TB m.2
Video Card RTX 3050
Monitor 14.5" 3K (3072x1920) IPS 400nits Anti-glare)
