Hi, when I select the bird then try to make an adjustment the image goes OOF, lift the pen off the tablet and bird in focus, hopefully can be seen in the screen captures, I have PL 9 selected in my options for the tablet I use (Xencelabs professional drawing tablet).

In the Preferences menus, have you enabled the option for high quality previews?

Yes turned off, unfortunately as I posted earlier I jumped in with both feet and now realize my system is no good to run DXO P/L 9 (Mac Mini, M2 16GB) to upgrade the system for one application is just not feasible so uninstalled P/L 9.

Purely as a test, I have successfully run PL9 on a MacBook Neo, which has only 8GB of RAM. It works. Only when I get into complicated masking it slows down a bit, and the exporting is very slow. Basic editing is fine, though.
I have the exact same Mac Mini M2 (Pro?) and PL9.11 works just fine. Dunno.
It must be turned on to avoid the out-of-focus behavior you’re describing.
