Improve renaming keywords

I encountered an issue ; the case is :

  • I have pictures with keywords ‘Flowers’ and other with keyword ‘Flower’
  • It seems a good idea to standardize (I have chosen singular) and want to rename keyword ‘Flowers’ to Flower’ but I get a conflict and DxO refuses.

I wish that DxO accepts.

You posted a feature request and while we’re waiting for a fix, you can try to correct your situation by doing the following:

  • Search for photos with keyword “Flowers”
  • Select all found and edit the keyword
  • Remove “Flowers” from the keyword list

Depending on how many photos you need to correct, it might be less effort to find the “Flower” photos, change these to “Flowers” and change “Flowers” to "Flower in the keyword list.

Note that PL on Mac can’t find more than 1000 photos. In this case, change the keyword of the photos and repeat until done.

I use less or more the process you describe but I wish a correction.

Note that I don’t use the DAM ; I always work in project mode but the DAM is needed automatically.

And moving a group of images from one keyword to another would indeed be helpful.

Assigning an image to a keyword is like assigning a keyword to an image…only “the other way 'round”.

Nerd attack: assigning a keyword is asset management - at least part of it.
