Images tagged as rejected not greying out in PhotoLab 9

In PhotoLab 9.0.0 Build 46 on Windows 11, when I tag an image as rejected I’m expecting the thumbnail to grey out as per the documentation. This doesn’t happen however. Am I missing something? (NB “Set tag” is set to “Always ON”)

On Mac, Photolab 9.0.0.16 on macOS Sonoma 14.7.8 overlays rejects with a grey veil.
:vulcan_salute:

When rejecting on Windows 10 using the same build (9.0 build 46) I see the red “rejected” dot appear, but nothing greys out (the image, thumbnails etc. in PhotoLibrary or Customise views).

Is there somewhere that I can log this as a possible bug with the Windows version?

Try the menu in PhotoLab

support.dxo.com is the way to do this. Submit a service request here.

Done.

Interesting in the meantime to see if other Windows users are experiencing this with version 9.

Yes same problem with Windows

I’ve never seen rejected images as “greyed out”, only with a red dot for rejected or green for picked – if they were used.

It does say rejected images will be greyed out in the documentation.

As a refugee from Lightroom Classic I really miss this as rejected images were much easier to ignore when triaging at the start of a project.

@platypus mentioned that it works as described (on Mac).

I’m on Windows and have never seen the grey haze, only the green and red dots, if used.

Never payed attention to it, but true, greyed for me in PL8 and PL9. But in fact I don’t care about it

For the record: the veil also works for virtual copies:
