Icc profile in preferences display tab? Changed from PL5 to PL6

I may have the missed ‘news’ somewhere along the way…

In PL5 there was drop down to select the/a choice of icc profile to be used in the Display Preferences

However, in PL6 that setting has been removed.

I have no recall of reading about the reason for such a change, so why the change and what display profile does PL6 pick(?) under the hood (so to speak)?
