I select an image in PhotoLab 9 and click on the Nik Collection button. Then I select Nik 9 Analog Efex. The Analog Efex window opens, where I check the Non-destructive edits check box. I edit my image in Analog Efex and select Apply. I return to PhotoLab. (I am using the latest versions of the software)
How do I open the image that was edited in Analog Efex and be able to change those edits? I cannot find a non-destructively edited image in my folder.
when you tick non-destructive it essentially save the edits in the same TIFF files you opened in the fist place. You will notice the TIFF file double in size. It contains both the original and the edit. So if you re-open the same TIFF with Analog Efex you should get your edits and be able to modify them. It is not the best workflow. First you need to remember which Nik plugin you used, it won’t remember. You can see that in the Exif data of the TIFF file, but it is not the best. Also the non-destructive apply to one plugin at a time. If you pass the file from Analog Efex to Color Efex and save that, the edits from Analog Efex will not be editable anymore. Anyhow you can play with that. It is all explained in the doc somewhere but it is confusing.

I just figured out that, after editing, I would have to open the edited tiff file into Analog Efex directly, not through PhotoLab. It’s a terrible workflow - as you say.
