I don’t use either one, it feels like an advert rather than a feature at my disposal (no love for IG, Blueskey?) and I’d prefer the option of simply remembering the last custom selected application that I chose. Cheers!
I’m running on a Mac and if I select the Export to Application it does remember what I did the last time, even after cycling PhotoLab.
Doesn’t appear to be the case on Windows. When selecting the export to application option it does remember the application in the Export to: drop menu (I selected and opened PS), but the main menu remains unchanged– Flickr and Lightroom remain intact and I need to go into the application menu to select the target program. Feels like it’s sort of broken. Or hard coded. Or both…
As far as I know PL has always worked like that. Flikr and Lightroom are hard coded options with no user option to remove them.
Wow. That sucks… Feels like low-hanging fruit. Great if you’re on Flickr and use Lightroom, though… I’ll just put some black electrical tape on that part of the screen ![]()
While Flickr and Lightroom are hardcoded, in Windows the “Export to” button always remembers the last option you used. I only use Export to Disk. Not sure what you are seeing that is different unless you are always using the arrow with the drop menu which is not necessary. Click on the button, not the arrow.

The Flickr and Lightroom options are simply shortcuts that can be useful and faster for people who use these applications. It’s a bonus, and we should thank them for it. The “Export to Application” option allows you to create other shortcuts for applications installed on your PC.
Get over it … you’ll survive. The links are for those who need them. ![]()
I personally find the ‘Flickr’ and ‘Lightroom Classic’ export options, to be very useful. I also use the ‘Export to Application’ option when appropriate. Once you have an export option selected, unless you click on the drop down menu, you won’t see the ‘offending’ export options. Also the Lightroom Classic option, is linked with the the PhotoLab plug-in.
