There seems to be no interface for that. I’d therefore try with a support ticket.

A quick check with a new ticket didn’t show any specifics either.
Nevertheless, DxO will probably be able to assist you. Don’t hold your breath though.
If someone in the forum knows a specific exit, let us know.
Thanks for the reply, but I had already gotten that far. Unfortunately, the support request only allows you to delete your entire account – including active licenses – That doesn’t make much sense if you only want to deactivate your forum account.
Unless the two are actually linked, in that case, never mind.
To the Mods: Is this forum actually moderated? And why isn’t it possible to ignore other users?
The forum is moderated for new users and the more you read (and post), the more features like the allowed frequency of posts, number of attachments etc. you’ll be able to use. It helps to give complete information relevant to a post, even if that information has already been given umpty posts before. It helps others to understand the situation and reduces misunderstandings and posts that ask for more detail. After all, we cannot read your (or anybody else’s) mind.
As for ignoring users, I propose that you keep cool and focus on helpful posts. Feeling angry or offended can happen, but it pays to keep quiet about it. There’s simply enough positive exchange that you might profit from in a not too distant future.
Hotter topics can be addressed using a private message. Whether that feature is already available to you, I cannot say, I’m just a user here and have no special voodoo in forum management.
I also propose that you check out your forum account by clicking on your avatar in the upper righthand corner of the page.
The forum is minimally moderated by DxO staff. They maintain it and will only occasionally post. Generally, they do not act as police here unless a post is flagged for attention. (We can flag posts as spam, inappropriate/abusive material, off-topic (needing to be recategorized or moved to another part of the forum), etc.) I guess that’s better than over-policing a forum, which I’ve experienced elsewhere.
It can be helpful to use private messages to correct misunderstandings, point out transgressions or mistakes, and have friendly or critical discourse that shouldn’t have a public audience. PMs are also a tool for communicating directly with DxO staff.
(Edited) Besides ignoring individual users, we can mute topics that don’t interest us and flag offensive posts for forum moderators to examine and handle as they think best.
