Help initiating an ai mask.

I am trying to make an ai selection using PL9.2. I select the ai widget but I cannot get PL9 to offer a selection widget. The image below is from a youtube video. The green circle indicates the add a selection tool. My copy of PL9.2 does not show the add or subtract selection widget. See the snip showing the local adjustment gui.

What program is shown in your first screenshot?
And what video are you referring to?

Please note, there is a difference in interface between the Win and Mac versions.
On Windows, these icons are at the top left of the image.
