Hi,

1. HDR Efex

In Lightroom HDR Efex is called from the File | Export with preset menu. If not present, check whether the C:\Users\Pat\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Modules\HDREfexPro2.lrplugin folder exists. If not, try to re-install the NIK Collection. The installer sometimes fails to correctly install the plugins.

In Photoshop, if the “Filter | Nik Collection | HDR Efex Pro” menu is not present, you should check whether the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC\DxO\HDR Efex Pro 2\HDR Efex Pro 2.8bf.lnk shortcut exists and actually points to “C:\Program Files\DxO\Nik Collection\HDR Efex Pro 2\HDR Efex Pro 2 (64-Bit)\HDR Efex Pro 2.8bf”. If not, you can create it manually.

2. Sharperner Pro

In Photoshop, if the “Filter | Nik Collection | Sharpener Pro (1 or 2)” menu is not present, you should check whether the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC\DxO\Sharpener Pro 3 folder exists and contains 2 shortcuts pointing to the 8bf files stored in “C:\Program Files\DxO\Nik Collection\Sharpener Pro 3\Sharpener Pro 3 (64-Bit)”. If not, you can create them manually.

In Lightroom, Sharpener doesn’t appear in the Preferences | External editing dialog or in the Right-click | Edit in… menu, check whether C:\Users\Pat\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\External Editor Presets\Sharpener Pro 3- Output Sharpener.lrtemplate and Sharpener Pro 3- RAW Presharpener.lrtemplate exist. If not, also try to re-install the Nik Collection (the installer seems to have a few bugs waiting to be fixed). Or you can create both external editor entries yourself. It’s easy.

NB : Sharpener rejects any TIFF file internally compressed in ZIP mode. So you should select None in the relevant setting when defining a new external editor entry in Lightroom for Sharpener Pro (again a problem of consistency between the Nik Collection plugins).

As a workaround, you can “Edit in…Photoshop” from Lightroom and use Sharpener from there.

Hope this helps a little.
