When I export a TIFF file to Apple Photos as a jpeg the GPS data is lost, i.e., the Apple Photos jpeg has no location information. I have confirmed that the TIFF file has the GPS coordinates (I can open it in Preview and view the location information and from there open it in Maps and get the GPS coordinates), and confirmed that “included GPS coordinates” is checked in the PL7 export dialog box. Any thoughts on why the GPS coordinates are lost in the export process?
Of course, the next few TIFF exports after posting here ended up transferring the GPS data. Argh!
