As a user, I like to filter for unedited files, which are not accompanied by a sidecar *.dop file in the photo browser. It shall be independent of the version, in which the dop file was created.
How would that work for folks who use the database alone, which filtering is based on, and don’t use DOPs?
As a user, I like to filter for unedited files. Lets keep it simple in that case.
Plus a rectangle mark in filmstrip thumbnails for images which have been cropped and/or an associated filter (select non-cropped).
How do you edit a photo without a DOP? I guess the number who use PL as a DB without editing anything is very close to zero.
No matter if “unedited” means absence of DOP file or not, I’d welcome a way to sort or filter for edits in dependence of “time” and/or version of DPL.
All info for this is in the database and/or in the DOP files. Implementing such a sort/filter/search should be feasible with reasonable effort.
This would then get us the following:
- sort etc. by edit (customisation) date
- sort etc. by version of PL used for edits
Any comments for that, @MattBruns ?
Sounds good to me. The inverse is also necessary. Filter for the unedited pictures.
Trouble is, as soon as you start editing the image, the file will be removed from your filter results. It will disappear from the image browser while you’re editing it. If you’re okay with that, carry on. I’ll add my vote.
