I have just purchased a Fairphone 6 and intended to use it for street photography. Unfortunately dng files generated by Fairphones aren’t supported by DXO Photolabs. Is there any plan to do it in the near future ?
Hi and welcome to this USER forum.
For questions to DxO, please see here …
You should vote for your own feature request at the top of this page. You can also request that DxO consider supporting your phone here:

Given DxO’s track record on DNG support it’s a safe bet the answer will be no. I’d also say the chance of support in the medium to long term is also very low.
I think the biggest advantage of PL is its demosaicing engine, which offers very good noise reduction and sharpening. However, this requires unprocessed, undemosaiced RAW files. In the past, DxO has mentioned several times that without genuine, undemosaiced, and unprocessed RAW image data—which the smartphone should provide—there would be no support. With the exception of one or two high-end Chinese phones, no smartphone today can offer this with its standard camera app. (but even these Chinaphones are still not supported by DXO as of today.) For iPhones and a few Samsung devices, there are third-party photo apps that provide genuine, unprocessed, non-demosaiced RAW images. But DXO doesn’t want to support these (phantastic)hobby projects, so we’ll probably have to wait until Apple, Samsung, Fairphone,Pixel (Google), or Sony start outputting genuine RAW images with their standard photo apps.
But jpgs can be processed from all sources without denoising so its mad that the other outputs that don’t need it are blocked
