Export errors from Photolab 9

Recently when I try to export my edits as jpgs, I haven’t tried other formats, I get an error sometimes. A second attempt to export works correctly but other images will likely fail.

The error being reported is: “In block SemanticMask@node_433[1].execute”. Is this related to the Mac Tahoe 26.1 issue? The issue is quite new and I believe that is the only thing that has changed on my end.

The Tahoe issue prevented AI Subject masks from working, I am not aware of any problems related to Export.

What version of PL9 are you running, the latest is 9.2.1 Build 32 ?

What is your hardware setup, which model of Mac and how much RAM is available ?

Can you post the original file and corresponding .dop files (via Dropbox for example) ? Others can then try to export and see if we get the same error ?

I am running 9.2.1 Build 32.

I have a MacStudio M1 Max with 32GB.

It has never failed twice with the same file. The second attempt always works so I don’t think others will be able to recreate the error based on those files, but I could be wrong. I do use AI masking for animals on all my images. I may try editing a bunch with a different preset that doesn’t use AI masking to see if the error occurs that way too.

I tried to upload an original file and the associated .dop file but the system reports new users can’t upload attachments.

Greetings,

You can post to a file share. Google Drive, One Drive, DropBox, etc. and post the link for us here. I’m on Windows, but others on MAC can assist.

This should work. The second export attempt was fine. I have not been able to find a pattern as to when the error occurs. While the issue is annoying, it is only making me keep an eye on the export process and just do a second attempt when/if it fails.

I was able to Export it without any issue. Can you tell me what Export settings you have ?

jpg 100%, rename, and all data included to a NAS. Until very recently there was never an issue.

Most of the time it works fine. I have never had an image fail twice. The failures seem to be completely random. Most images shot on the same day will get the same corrections. I would not expect this to be an issue that can be easily duplicated. It can take a dozen or more exports before the issue is encountered.

I had to wait 3 hours before I could reply again, new user limitations.
