Error message - "The Activation process failed because of an unknown server error..."

I’m getting an error message this morning - “The Activation process failed because of an unknown server error…” when trying to open any of the applications in the NIK Collection 7.0.4 x64 version this morning.

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling, but no success.

I’m running Windows 11 Pro.

Welcome to the forum @sidewalksurfer

I propose you try to activate your product tomorrow. If it doesn’t work, get in touch with support.dxo.com

The customer support team were able to get me back up and running. Thanks

Happened to me as well. It is ridiculous given that this should be a perpetual license. I wrote to the customer support, we will see what are next steps. The same problem happened for other DXO software, but at least there I was able to re-enter the activation code. Here it just blocks on a hexagonal dialog, a really terrible UX. I was already thinking stopping renewing Nik Collection (there are no significant updates in v8 if you are not using Photoshop), but, after this, I won’t certainly upgrade.

Interestingly, Nik Collection 6, which I kept on the same machine because of PerspectiveFX, works. I tried uninstall/reinstall Nik Collection 7 but it is still blocked and doesn’t allow to enter the activation code.
