Enough with the unwanted promotional emails already!

How many times do I need to unsubscribe for the spam emails to stop? no, I do not care about your over priced holiday packages. Doesn’t matter if you send me the same email 5 times, I still will not be interested.

And DxO has the galls to propose a paid tier service for a software we’re paying full price.

Oh, how the great has fallen.

We are only a user forum with little to no influence over DxO. Why don’t you contact them directly?

I’d be surprised if DxO have any real links with a package holiday company. Happy to be corrected though…

Assuming they don’t have any legitimate interest in selling package holidays then it sounds like a spammer is spoofing the sender of the emails as DxO. That then means if you have used the subscribe link in such a spam message then all you have done is given your email address to the spammer. That means you can expect a whole lot more junk to land in your inbox.

I also kept turning them off but they come so frequently my security is flagging them as possible spam now

Their holiday packages are advertised directly on their website:

So, not a scam or spammer based on that logic.

But, @Joanna is correct. This is a user forum, we can’t help with promotional emails sent by DxO.

@VincentR you’ll have to contact DxO directly for this one.

Oops my bad, I misread the OP. That’s a bit embarrasing

It happens!

You’re right to check whether it was spam since they apparently tried unsubscribing to no avail, but I have seen these holiday packages myself so I knew it was probably correct.

They are not package holidays, but holiday packages (in other words, discounts for the holiday period if you buy multiple products).

They do send a lot of emails. But… this is normal these days.

Personally, I’d settle for companies simply de-duplicating their mailing lists so that I don’t get multiple copies of everything. At least DxO seem to have that in order.

What they don’t seem to have a grasp of is that trying to sell me three products I already own is not really a great approach.

I have the latest PL, FP, and VP. Maybe they could try selling me PR. Certainly they could try selling me Nik. But there is zero point in tempting me into PL, FP, or VP.

I’d extend this to the splash screen promotions too.

I already have mine set to “updates only” which I took to be “anything important”. However throughout Black Friday I constantly got the sale message and it returns every time you start PhotoLab - you have to see it every time (unless you change that “updates only” selection to literally “nothing”).

Considering the state that PL9’s launch has been, I don’t really want to be bombarded with the sales push.
