This feature of being able to stack shots by a timeframe is useful, but the time scale (0 sec ←→ 1 hour) within a slider control makes it impossible to stack with any amount of granular control. Usually when I am “stacking” it is to stack my exposure brackets.
Ways to make this more user-friendly:
- Introduce an exposure-bracket method that looks at the capture date + the camera’s +/- exposure metadata to create stacks
- Don’t even use a slider control, just let the user to input a custom time including fractions of sections
- Allow the user to use the arrow keys to adjust time by highlighting segments for granular control [00]:[00]:[00].[00]
