I hadn’t updated from PL8 to 9 because my computer was too slow for the PL9 trial version (no dedicated graphics card, AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon Graphics):
AI masks didn’t work, the export process was unstable, and it took a really long time.
Without a dedicated graphics card, I was used to it taking a long time: a 45MB RAW image takes about 2 to 3 minutes with XD2.
The penultimate update to PL8 (shortly before the release of PL10) brought a significant improvement in export speed, even on my computer. So I tested PL10 and was pleasantly surprised.
The AI masks work well on my system (after loading—“… Full Preview in Progress,” which sometimes takes a little while—the AI masks run completely smoothly).
Exporting with XD3 takes just as long as with PL8, which is perfectly fine for this system.
After the positive test, I bought PL10, and even on my underpowered system, I’ve noticed a significant improvement over PL8. PL10 runs more smoothly, and all features work fine.
