DxO Shop Account, License Keys & the Lot... 2025

https://shop.dxo.com/en/license/account/listing/

I have no idea where I can post a question or complaint about the shop, so I’m doing it here.

I want to take (not much of an) advantage of the current deal to purchase an upgrade to Nik Collection and get a free update to ViewPoint.

I have been buying stuff from Dxo for quite a few years, but nothing shows up in my account and that means I cannot but the upgrades, even though I have all the activation codes, emails, invoices, etc. Meanwhile the shop and support move as slow as molasses.

I just need to vent my frustration with the shop here. I’ll probably be doing the same about the software in a little while.

Francis.

Just checked my shop account and found that logging in took a few seconds longer than what I remember.

As for upgrades and updates:

  • you can get the discounted add-on if (and only if) you buy a NEW license
  • discounted Nik upgrades are available if you have Nik6 or later
  • there seems to be no way to combine a discounted Nik upgrade with a discounted add-on.

As often, the whizz-bang offers are for new users/licenses. They are about getting out more products rather than making more users happy with combined discounts. :man_shrugging:

If possible, run the trials before investing. You might find the upgrades are exactly what you want or need - or not - and that you can save even more money with NOT upgrading.

They’re offering a free copy of ViewPoint 5 if I upgrade from Nik Collection 7 to 8. But after I made my post I found people complaining that there are colour shifts in images edited with ViewPoint 5, so I won’t be using it until that bug is fixed. The “you have no license” message disappeared for a short time, so I had a window to buy my Nik Collection 8 upgrade. I now see the “you have no license” message again.

Something is going on there. I upgraded to Viewpoint 5 from 3 a few weeks ago but the new version does not show up in my account. I have to chase down the invoice so that I can prove I purchased it for future reference.

Support also lags, their activation system is a pain, when you replace your computer, you have to beg to get it deactivated in the old one and activate in the new one.

Actually, it’s changed. All you need to do is to deactivate it.
You manage it yourself here.

That is great, finally, when did that come about?

On the other hand, it would be nice if Riley would have told me that, I spent 3 days waiting to get my Pure RAW 4 in a new computer. He never gave me the option of doing it online.

Update: It seems to be work in progress, the only licenses that show up in my dashboard are for Pure RAW 4. Missing are Photolab, Viewpoint and Nik.
