Today when I import Canon R1 RAW files, DXO PureRAW 3.7 unable to read it. Does it not support Canon R1? Can anyone answer my problem?
Not yet, DXO will support the R1 in the December update.
The Canon R1 isn’t supported in the December update, they now say it will be in the February 2025 update.
I was a quite a fan of DxO products but not being able to use DxO PureRaw and Photolab 8 with my R1 Raw files is making me switch to Capture 1. No use to edit my R5 and R5mk2 files in DxO and than get a complete different look from Capture 1 or Lightroom. Just sad that I don’t have the beautiful noise reduction that way…
Incredible. February? For the Canon flagship? It should have been ready when the camera was released. Incredible arrogance to lock out all pros.
Having fun with Topaz now. Got tired of waiting. DXO doesn’t care.
And then “all pros” would have to wait for good light until April. What a waste, what a waste…
It’s all about tech and money, honey.
My workflow is trashed by this unforgivable omission. This software is too unreliable to be called pro.
How could that have been possible ?! … It’s unlikely that Canon would provide DxO with a pre-release copy.
It takes a little time for DxO to acquire a copy of new bodies/lenses - and then to put them thru the process that results in an Optics Module for image correction.
The other image processing companies disprove your assumption and have updated their software to work with the R1. Your argument fails.
What a lovely song. Keep on running, …
But they’re not providing corrections via Optics Modules for specific {body+lens} combinations … that’s what makes DxO’s approach unique and so effective.
Unfortunately it’s all too common that users love the DxO apps for the quality they deliver - yet fail to understand how they achieve such performance.
