I decided to purchase Pure Raw 6and happy with the results I’m getting. My question is this: PR5 and 6 are both listed in Photoshop (I downloaded PR5 trial ages ago but uninstalled it). They are listed in the plugins menu in Photoshop but greyed out. PR5 is also listed in the Adobe creative cloud under manage plugins, but I’m unable to delete it there as the 3 dots are also greyed out. I’ve Googled this and followed the suggestions to delete via the Program files and Program files x86 menus but PR5 still shows up in Photoshop and Creative cloud. PR5 is not listed in regedit.
Also, I’m led to understand that PR6 can be used in Photoshop if the file is a smart object. I tried opening a dng file from PR6, as a smart object, but PR6 is still greyed out so I’m unsure how this works. Any help much appreciated. Thank you.
check photoshop’s plugin manager and if the plugins still show, then quit ps
try to uninstall with what means Windows (I presume you’re on it) provides
restart ps…
try removing things manually
DxO’s un-installers aren’t that thorough and you might need to resort to manual cleanup. Search the internet for how to fully remove pr, if you don’t get a how-to from this site.
It could be helpful for others to know what your os and sw versions are.
I can’t reinstall pr5 as it was a trial and won’t install as it would say trial time elapsed.
why reinstall pr6…it works fine.
I removed all instances of pr5, 4, and 3 via info I found online, including regedit.
I’m using windows 10.
pr5 and 6 are still showing up in photoshop’s plugin menu, but greyed out. Also, pr5 and 6 showing up as “installed’ in the creative cloud app. The 3 dot menu is greyed out in each case.
