Help! Has anyone seen this problem and do you have a solution
You’re going to have to give a lot more details of your problem before anyone here can help you.
What version of PL9?
What Nvidia driver version?
What are the specs of your hardware?
I agree with @stuck. Your description of the problem you are having is much too vague and leaves us with very little to go on. When you say closing, do you mean crashing? or just disappearing? Are you getting any type of error message? Does it happen every time you are using PhotoLab? Exactly what are you doing when the problem occurs? We need all the detail you can provide. As Stuck mentioned we need to know the specs of your computer, especially the specific Nvidia graphics card and the whether it is using the current driver. With regarding to your mention of “sticking”, what exactly do you mean? I am guessing that what you may mean is hanging where PhotoLab ceases to be responsive. What are the circumstances when this occurs? Finally, is this happening with a licensed version of PhotoLab or is it the trial version? If it is your licensed version have you installed all the updates to it? The current Windows version of PhotoLab is 9.6.1 Build 636

Your driver might be the problem. Do you have a particular reason for not updating it to the latest version?
I have updated the driver several time, the current version is 576.52 and checks a least onece a week. On every freeze or closure the data is sent to DxO developers
Yes 576.52 is installed, I might add, the closure is not predictable. Very annoying.
The driver is updated. I have the NVIDIA App, and I check weekly
Latest NVIDIA Studio Driver for your card is 595.79, released on Mar 10, 2026.
Your 576.52 driver was released in May 2025.
