DxO PhotoLab 5: export issue for X-Trans images with DeepPRIME on M1 Mac and macOS 12.3

Dear users,

Important: the latest update of macOS (v12.3) introduces a regression which slows down considerably the Apple Neural Engine cores used in all M1 Macs. This affects only Fujifilm X-Trans RAW files in DxO PhotoLab 5 and DxO PureRaw 2.

The bug has been reported to Apple, but in the meantime, there is a workaround to let you continue using DeepPRIME with great speed: go to the preferences and under “Advanced/DeepPRIME acceleration”, manually choose your M1 GPU instead of the Apple Neural Engine.

We will keep you informed as soon a long term fix could be provided.

Best regards

macOS 12.3.1 does not seem to fix this issue. DPL 5.1.3 and DPR 2.0.1 take 50 to 55 seconds per Fuji .raf file, while Canon .cr2 files take 6 to 8 seconds.
