DXO Official info on Nvidia-driver problem that prevents both export and printing

Of course they developed and tested with the latest drivers as they became available. They identified the problem early on and have been working with Nvidia to resolve it. Identifying an issue doesn’t mean its resolution will be easy or fast.

I feel a need to revisit this post to describe my more recent experiences. I’ve been extensively testing the new AI masks in edits of RGB, ProRaw, and RAW files, exporting to disk, to NIK, and to Topaz Photo AI.

I’ve had two crashes at PL9 startup (reported to DxO). Also, several internal error alerts and a couple of freezes that prevented mask selection or application. Restarting PL9 in all cases allowed the identical masks to be applied successfully. Editing and exporting lags have not been an issue. Thus, I’ve not been prevented ultimately from making any attempted edits or exports, just experiencing these occasional hiccups.

So even with an NVIDIA driver that dates back to late 2024 there are still problems. On cycle, I got a new PC in January 2025, specs given below. Perhaps the relative power of this PC is just putting a dressing on the underlying PL9 problem. PL8 runs flawlessly.
