the other big photo editing apps do think it’s worth having them and people are using them
I’m sure some people do, but I’d say other photo apps are adding them not because they’re the most popular way to edit colour, but because they need to add something.
Again, if you’re not a fan of it then you don’t have to use it.
Some of us would, and can’t, because DxO haven’t added it.
That is their decision, and therefore their fault. It’s certainly not anything to do with the customer, or their competitors, who have added these functions that people use.
I think, the right approach is not to ask DXO for adding color grading wheels but to ask the makers of Lightroom, Capture One and Davinci Resolve to remove their wheels. Apparently no pro in his right mind would ever use them, right? Real pros get the photos right in camera, no post processing needed. So, color wheels are just for the content kids who don’t know better… Amen!
