DXO can't load files in Jottacloud folder?

Hi,
I checked if I could edit files in a sync folder from Jottacloud. And it worked.

So I startet using this cloud and after the last update, DXO can’t load the files in this folder. I see the names and black squares, but it’s not loading.
Files are on the hard drive and only copied to the cloud.

Is there anything I can do?

Thanks!

Files in cloud sync folders are often not physical files on your local drive. But imaginary files which are polled from the cloud when the system do a call for them.

When PL looks at the file they are not yet synced back to your local drive.

A warning here - never ever work on a files that is actively synced to a cloud service.

No matter if they are Jotta, Google or Onedrive. It will sooner or later cause havoc as the local sync process of the cloud service locks, process, reads and writes in the background.

Always work on local files.
You can then transfer them to a cloud service.

Ok, thanks!
Then the only option to get a backup is to have every file two times on the hard drive. One in the Sync folder and one in a non-sync folder … so I need two times the disc space. (If I don’t want to have an external drive, I do have external solution for long time storage, but it looked appealing to me that I can have the files on my laptop and just backup them to the cloud without thinking…)
I could use other cloud backup solutions where I manually upload the files, but I an lazy …

Today there was a Jottacloud update and now I can edit files with dxo in my sync folder again …
