I don’t use the PhotoLibrary but I use Customize with virtual copies all the time. The primary difference, and usually the only difference, between virtual copies is the aspect ratio. That is, I’ll crop one virtual copy for 5x7 prints and another for 11x17 prints.
I don’t believe that there is a way for me to tell which VC has which aspect ratio. Is there? Please help!
There is a related topic in the Feature requests section that was closed in 2019. If there was a feature developed in response to that, I’m afraid that it allows comments or descriptions in the PhotoLibrary. Is there a way in the customize tab to add comments or differentiate between VCs? When I mouse over the thumbs in the customize tab, I see a popup with meta info but that doesn’t include aspect ratio.
Currently, I visit the VCs one-by-one, using the Crop Tool. When I find the image I need, I close the crop tool and do my work, whatever that happens to be.

For many years, the virtual copies of the macOS version of PhotoLab have had a unique name.
Unfortunately, this isn’t possible on the Windows version.
Why? Who knows?

If you are not already using the colour labels, you could set up your own code for different aspect ratios.
Simple badges are a great idea for a feature. I’d hate to see it become too complicated with every image covered in five or six codes though. Aspect ratio you should be able to see from the thumbnail (so I’d consider this particular request to be unnecessary and even destructive).
I hardly know what to say. I suppose my eyes are worse than I thought because I cannot tell the difference between a 17x22 crop and a 4x5 crop by looking at the thumbnails.
The color labels idea has promise. I’ve deployed the labels for other uses but I could possibly free up a few for my most common aspect ratios. Thanks for the suggestion part of your reply.
