DeepPRIME 3 out and?

Keep in mind that the models won’t have been trained on test shots taken in dimly lit offices, and I don’t think the shots you will care about will be those, either.

After reading all the posts, I made a test on one of my pictures Sont A7RIV 25k ISO
The result is from left to right
jpeg from camera, DP2XD, DP2XD with detail enforced, DP3 with details enforced

All pictures are displayed at 100% in Preview.
DP2XD has lost details on the face but B&W drawing is astonishing.
DP2XD with details at 100% looks nice and the compromise is good.

Other test ; because we never look a picture at 100%; I have adjusted the pictures to my screen size, a 27" 5k which is comfortable : the second picture wins

Apologies if I have missed a previous mention of this but I note that Andy Hutchinson has issued an update about 8.5 which shows his experience with DP3 and concurs with the DxO suggestion that it is aimed to reduce the plastic effect of too harsh noise reduction whilst avoiding detail loss and artefacts. In his view this is undoubtedly a worthwhile improvement.

Thanks, I looked for it. For those interested → see …
and for his former video concerning PL 8 → see …
